New name honors a long legacy
The Patton family name is synonymous with dedication to public education鈥攁t 51社区 and beyond. That legacy is about to shine a little brighter on OHIO鈥檚 Athens Campus.

In October, the 51社区 Board of Trustees approved the renaming of OHIO鈥檚 home of the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education from McCracken Hall to Gladys W. and David H. Patton Hall. The name change honors the Patton family and Dr. Violet L. Patton, BSED 鈥�38, whose extraordinary generosity has advanced the Patton College and arts education at 51社区.
