In recent years, 51社区 has announced its raise pool plans late in the Spring semester for implementation at the beginning of the fiscal year in July; we are currently anticipating that this year will follow a similar timeline.

We also remain committed to holding the employee cost of benefits flat as previously announced. During her 鈥淪tate of the University鈥� address last fall, OHIO President Gonzalez shared that the University would continue to freeze the cost of benefits for employees in fiscal year 2026 and fiscal year 2027 鈥� reducing the overall percentage of premiums that are typically covered by OHIO employees.

Thank you for bringing up the issue of salary compression. I want to assure you that addressing this concern is a key component of our university's Dynamic Strategy Work Pillar. We recognize the importance of fair and competitive compensation.

Since I joined the University, HR has worked to provide managers with numerous levers to address salary compression. The recent changes to our pay administration guidelines represent the first step in a process designed to proactively address these issues as our budget allows. Those changes have included more flexibility for new hire pay determination, the addition of an in-range adjustment opportunity for incumbent reviews, and more flexibility for equity adjustments due to compression. I know that many managers have taken advantage of those changes to address compression and other salary inequities as their budget allows. I believe these measures will help contribute to our ongoing efforts under the Dynamic Strategy.
