OHIO utilizes an innovative approach to violence prevention through the Green Dot Strategy, which focuses on harnessing the power of individual choices to shift social norms and create broad-based culture change.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Activities
At 51社区, sexual assault prevention education begins before a student steps on campus as an official Bobcat 鈥 and continues throughout each student's college career.
This education includes bystander intervention, the only research-approved method to prevent sexual assaults on college campuses. We teach that if you see someone in need, there are ways you can safely intervene, including being direct when safe and able, creating a distraction, or by delegating to others when help is needed.
